Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Calvin Wakefield made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Manchester City's Calvin Wakefield dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 10 minutes, Bruce Batty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester City and the Handforth AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 12th minute, Max Hellen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stew Osborn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Jake Stiles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Handforth AFC got a freekick which was hit by Frazer Langsford. Stew Osborn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Stew Osborn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 37 minutes, Calvin Wakefield managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Calvin Wakefield was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Calvin Wakefield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Handforth AFC's goalkeeper Jake Stiles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stew Osborn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Fox in the 43rd minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Stewart Hepburn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stew Osborn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Jake Stiles made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Marty Chivers hit a great ball. Max Hellen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bruce Batty was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. The supporters of Handforth AFC booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruce Batty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester City's Stewart Hepburn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Max Hellen in the 61st minute of play. Rob Fox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Stewart Hepburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stew Osborn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Rockey hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Manchester City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
