Rupert Hallam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for newcastle united. After having played for 18 minutes, Casey Titmuss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. newcastle united's supporters crossed their fingers, but Casey Titmuss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Casey Titmuss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Chichester FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Jake McRobbie hit a great ball. Martin Berry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Togwell, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Rupert Hallam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Titmuss in the 32nd minute of the match. Rupert Hallam didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kev Bayford went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 44th minute, Casey Titmuss got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kev Bayford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When Syd Frost came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Chichester FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Syd Frost couldn't finish the play. After having played for 63 minutes, Denis Togwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Syd Frost managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chichester FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Syd Frost was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martin Berry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Denis Togwell came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Chichester FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Togwell couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Chichester FC's Rupert Hallam got control of the ball when Kev Bayford tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Chichester FC's Denis Togwell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Berry narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chichester FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Casey Titmuss scored to the left of an out of position Rupert Hallam, making the score, 1-2. Louie Phippard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd play minute Kev Bayford came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rupert Hallam. 1-3. Martin Berry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dylon Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. A collision led to newcastle united getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Philip Bond hit a great ball. newcastle united's Martin Berry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Togwell in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, newcastle united's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Togwell came free, but Martin Berry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Syd Frost sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute, Denis Togwell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in newcastle united's zone, Syd Frost stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Berry came out of the goal and Syd Frost tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
