Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sol Nicoll kicked off to start the match. If Benjamin Tuck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the game, Kevin Gascoigne recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silvester Ely. Kevin Gascoigne showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience was convinced that Casey Byfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caleb Lancaster was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Jerome Porter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Woodlesford getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. CJ Lincoln hit a great ball. Silvester Ely stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Gascoigne's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, Woodlesford's Silvester Ely got control of the ball when Benjamin Tuck tried to sneak it across the goal line. Woodlesford's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Kevin Gascoigne scored to the left of an out of position Silvester Ely, making the score, 2-0. In the 35th minute Kevin Gascoigne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Ely saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Benjamin Tuck had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvester Ely. Woodlesford's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamin Tuck was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Casey Byfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Caleb Lancaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kevin Gascoigne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Mike Whitehead fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woodlesford's protests and gave Mike Whitehead a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ilfracombe AFC booed when Woodlesford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Whitehead didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvester Ely made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Tuck in the 53rd minute of play. Benjamin Tuck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Silvester Ely stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kevin Gascoigne's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. When Benjamin Tuck came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ilfracombe AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Tuck couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ilfracombe AFC's zone, Casey Byfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caleb Lancaster came out of the goal and Casey Byfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
