The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kevin Gascoigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Hallam having to interfere. Rupert Hallam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Tuck in the 9th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Kevin Gascoigne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilfracombe AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Gascoigne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rupert Hallam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caleb Lancaster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Togwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 played minutes Ilfracombe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tyler Kellaway. Caleb Lancaster was a little too slow when Denis Togwell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Kevin Gascoigne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilfracombe AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Gascoigne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rupert Hallam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Tuck, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Denis Togwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Denis Togwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caleb Lancaster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caleb Lancaster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Syd Frost in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Togwell in the 28th minute of play forced Ilfracombe AFC's goalkeeper Caleb Lancaster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Togwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Caleb Lancaster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Syd Frost got free with Caleb Lancaster in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 38 minutes into the match, Kevin Gascoigne had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rupert Hallam. Chichester FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Gascoigne was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rupert Hallam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Gascoigne, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Ilfracombe AFC's Caleb Lancaster proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 49th minute of the match, managed to save Ilfracombe AFC from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Denis Togwell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Chichester FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jake McRobbie hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Kevin Gascoigne kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rupert Hallam. That made the score 1-2 in the 54 minute of play. Chichester FC's Denis Togwell got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kevin Gascoigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Hallam having to interfere. Benjamin Tuck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kevin Gascoigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rupert Hallam having to interfere. If Syd Frost had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caleb Lancaster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Syd Frost in the 83rd minute of the match. Tyler Kellaway kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Syd Frost shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caleb Lancaster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chichester FC's Denis Togwell got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ilfracombe AFC's Kevin Gascoigne slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rupert Hallam. That made the score 1-3 after 94 minutes of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ilfracombe AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
