Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Les White kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Clive Braithwaite hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brinklow's Ryan Hinchcliffe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Reid in the 8th minute of play. Les White took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Shawn McGurk. Shawn McGurk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dave Reid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ryan Hinchcliffe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jake French got free with Ryan Hinchcliffe in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Les White sped through Paignton FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Shawn McGurk. Les White sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shawn McGurk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugh Tomlin, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jake French received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ryan Hinchcliffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Jake French could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Ryan Hinchcliffe however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Reid in the 37th minute of play forced Brinklow's goalkeeper Ryan Hinchcliffe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryan Hinchcliffe had great luck who in the 39thth minute grab hold of the ball when Dave Reid from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Jake French struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ryan Hinchcliffe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paignton FC. After 43 played minutes Paignton FC got a freekick which was hit by Gregory Gulliver. In the 45th minute, Les White ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shawn McGurk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Jake French struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ryan Hinchcliffe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paignton FC. In the 56th minute Dave Reid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan Hinchcliffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paignton FC's Jake French got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 60 played minutes Brinklow got a freekick which was hit by Frankie Edmunds. Ryan Hinchcliffe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jake French in the 63rd minute of the match. Jake French received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ryan Hinchcliffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jake French recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Les Larham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryan Hinchcliffe having to interfere. Ryan Hinchcliffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake French in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Clive Braithwaite managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paignton FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clive Braithwaite was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jake French sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Owen Gardner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ryan Hinchcliffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teddy Payne kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teddy Payne during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Brinklow getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Teddy Payne hit a great ball. Chesney Chapman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Paignton FC's goalkeeper Shawn McGurk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugh Tomlin. A collision led to Paignton FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Owen Gardner hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Brinklow's goal looked a bit too open when Jake French came free, but Ryan Hinchcliffe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Although Paignton FC had been in control for most of the match, Brinklow still came away with the win.
