After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Matt Howarth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monkeys Village FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matt Howarth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie Rayner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ed Ambrose sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 94th minute of the match, Ed Ambrose tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronnie Rayner saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
