Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kirk Rhodes took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Kirk Rhodes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sean Pearce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ollie Hallam charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ollie Hallam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Casey Lock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Mansfield Town getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Glen Cornish hit a great ball. The Boys United made a substitution. Fitz Coombe replaced Casey Lock. A collision led to Mansfield Town getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ollie Hallam hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mansfield Town's zone, Fitz Coombe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Beale came out of the goal and Fitz Coombe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glen Cornish got free with Sean Pearce in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mansfield Town! Alexander Elliott walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Tommy Beale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perry Deacon in the 24th minute of play. When Barney Burns came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Mansfield Town fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barney Burns couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Stefan Hehir managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Boys United's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Hehir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Beale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Boys United's Alexander Elliott got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Stuart Topham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alexander Elliott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Fitz Coombe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Beale. Mansfield Town's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fitz Coombe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alexander Elliott kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute, Glen Cornish fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Sean Pearce, passed just outside the right post. When Garry Notley fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mansfield Town's protests and gave Garry Notley a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Mansfield Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garry Notley to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 47 minutes, Alexander Elliott managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Boys United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Elliott was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Kirk Rhodes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean Pearce having to interfere. Glen Cornish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Sean Pearce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Stuart Topham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Alexander Elliott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Beale was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Alexander Elliott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Boys United's Fitz Coombe got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fitz Coombe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Beale came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by The Boys United's Stuart Topham. But to his dismay, Stuart Topham quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Perry Deacon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glen Cornish in the 81st minute of play forced The Boys United's goalkeeper Sean Pearce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Duncan Newman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the The Boys United defense, Barney Burns kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sean Pearce. The The Boys United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sean Pearce should have stopped the shot.
