Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Andre Beaver started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Glen Cornish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John King having to interfere. 9 minutes into the match, Swindon fc's Andre Beaver sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Beale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 11 minutes, Glen Cornish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mansfield Town's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glen Cornish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andre Beaver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tommy Beale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John King showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kirk Rhodes in the 16th minute of the match. Glen Cornish might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John King. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glen Cornish ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Swindon fc's John King got control of the ball when Glen Cornish tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Mansfield Town's Kirk Rhodes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After 28 minutes of play, Mansfield Town's Glen Cornish made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. John King was left in no man's land by his defense there! Glen Cornish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. John King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ged Blake in the 34th minute of play forced Mansfield Town's goalkeeper Tommy Beale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Mansfield Town's goal looked a bit too open when Ged Blake came free, but Tommy Beale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Barney Burns kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. If Ged Blake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes of play, Swindon fc's Andre Beaver made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Beale was left in no man's land by his defense there! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Kirk Rhodes made the kick off in the second half. Kirk Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. John King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Oscar Ramsay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ollie Hallam charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ollie Hallam the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Mansfield Town got a freekick which was hit by Ollie Hallam. The audience was convinced that Andre Beaver's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Beale was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Kirk Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. John King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John King stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kirk Rhodes's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. If Glen Cornish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirk Rhodes, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Tommy Beale made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Ged Blake sent off a good shot on target. Mansfield Town's Kirk Rhodes got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 minutes, Shane Crabtree mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mansfield Town and the Swindon fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd match minute, Mansfield Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shane Crabtree to maneuver through the defense. Andre Beaver was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute. Swindon fc's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mansfield Town's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
