Lawrence Tipton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ben Camfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brackley Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Camfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Budleigh Salterton AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brackley Town the free kick.
