Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Archie Crossley started the match with the kick off. Dylon Jones blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reuben Speight having to make a save. Gez Hill hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the game, Daryl Lobb was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lewes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kemsing the free kick. Lewes's Archie Crossley got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reuben Speight took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dylon Jones, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Kemsing's Lance Kelly sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reuben Speight narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kris Camfield's late challenge caught a Kemsing's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kris Camfield helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kemsing booed when Lewes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Camfield didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 28 played minutes Lewes got a freekick which was hit by Gez Hill. In the 29thth minute of the game Lance Kelly who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lewes's Reuben Speight was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lance Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reuben Speight having to interfere. Kris Camfield was shown his second yellow card after 34 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 38th minute, Gez Hill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Kemsing's Fraser Miller broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Reuben Speight made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lance Kelly in the 40th minute. Lewes's Daryl Lobb got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Daryl Lobb off the ground. In the 43rd minute, Daryl Lobb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dylon Jones recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th match minute, Kemsing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Fordham to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Lewes's Archie Crossley got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Kemsing's Fraser Miller couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lewes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dylon Jones in the 55th minute of play forced Lewes's goalkeeper Reuben Speight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 played minutes Lewes got a freekick which was hit by Archie Crossley. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lance Kelly in the 57th minute of play forced Lewes's goalkeeper Reuben Speight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lance Kelly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Kemsing a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fraser Miller, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lewes's Reuben Speight. 1-0. After 68 minutes, Ian Legg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lewes and the Kemsing players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ian Legg hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kemsing getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Lance Kelly hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Lance Kelly fired away a free kick at the goal, but hit it at the wrong angle and it went over the crossbar. Lance Kelly struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Reuben Speight didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kemsing. If Dylon Jones had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, Kemsing's Lance Kelly sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reuben Speight narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 77th minute, Junior Vaughn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute of the match Fraser Miller sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reuben Speight skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Lance Kelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kemsing's supporters rose to their feet, but Lance Kelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reuben Speight breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dylon Jones's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reuben Speight read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. Dylon Jones received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Reuben Speight tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lance Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reuben Speight having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dylon Jones in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reuben Speight prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kemsing's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
