Felix Maylett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ashley Webster in the 5th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peacehaven City's goalkeeper Felix Maylett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 24th minute, Eric Addison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonny Chambers hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Peacehaven City's Felix Maylett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Parks in the 29th minute of play. Cleckheaton's Dion Busby got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ashley Webster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes Peacehaven City got a freekick which was hit by Jonny Chambers. After having played for 42 minutes, Ashley Webster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cleckheaton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ashley Webster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 45th minute, Eric Addison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ashley Webster hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Peacehaven City's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Parks came free, but Felix Maylett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Dion Busby sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Peacehaven City's Felix Maylett didn't even have to move. In the 66th minute, Scott Theakston made a precise shot to the right of Tris Long. Cleckheaton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peacehaven City's goalkeeper Felix Maylett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 75 minutes, Bill Durrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peacehaven City and the Cleckheaton players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Peacehaven City got a freekick which was hit by Bill Durrant. Kris Parks struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Felix Maylett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cleckheaton. Tris Long took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodd Jefferies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Jonny Chambers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peacehaven City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cleckheaton the free kick. The supporters of Cleckheaton booed when Peacehaven City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonny Chambers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Maylett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ashley Webster in the 82nd minute. Scott Theakston scored 2-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tris Long, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Felix Maylett managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Cleckheaton's Ashley Webster fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Cleckheaton's zone, Scott Theakston stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tris Long came out of the goal and Scott Theakston tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Felix Maylett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Addison in the 94th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dion Busby got free with Felix Maylett in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Peacehaven City players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
