Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Antony Arrowsmith started the match with the kick off. Antony Arrowsmith sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kelvin Bridgeworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Leslie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Clarke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Micheal Swinscoe got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 13th match minute before Frank Mawson had time to react. Doncaster City FC's Frank Mawson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Doncaster City FC from getting a goal against them. Antony Arrowsmith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Mawson having to interfere. In the 31st minute Antony Arrowsmith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Mawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 minutes, Antony Arrowsmith mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Norwich and the Doncaster City FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Norwich's Antony Arrowsmith got a free kick in the 34th minute. After 40 played minutes Doncaster City FC got a freekick which was hit by Buster Tomkin. Norwich's Micheal Swinscoe got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Doncaster City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Antony Arrowsmith came free, but Frank Mawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Micheal Swinscoe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Doncaster City FC's zone, Antony Arrowsmith stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Mawson came out of the goal and Antony Arrowsmith tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luke Clarke to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Luke Clarke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Leslie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 played minutes, Doncaster City FC's Dennis Wills shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nigel Leslie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Doncaster City FC reached it. After having played for 61 minutes, Luke Clarke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doncaster City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luke Clarke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Doncaster City FC got a freekick which was hit by Jason Newton. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micheal Swinscoe in the 69th minute of play forced Doncaster City FC's goalkeeper Frank Mawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Mawson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antony Arrowsmith in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes Norwich got a freekick which was hit by Jonathon Bentham. In the 84th minute, Micheal Swinscoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradley Mansell struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Frank Mawson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Norwich. Micheal Swinscoe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Frank Mawson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jonathon Bentham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norwich's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathon Bentham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Mawson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Micheal Swinscoe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Mawson having to interfere. A collision led to Doncaster City FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jason Newton hit a great ball. Doncaster City FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Norwich had controlled the match.
