Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jonathon Trueman kicked off to start the match. Simeon Chalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Reid in the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's Simeon Chalk got control of the ball when Dean Edwards tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sean Garner-Currie kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Simeon Chalk was a little too slow when David Reid got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. Sean Garner-Currie got his second yellow card in the match during the 14th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Ashton-in-Makerfield FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sean Garner-Currie hit a great ball. Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's Simeon Chalk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Reid in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Ozzy Graves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Simeon Chalk. The goal made the score 2-0. Simeon Chalk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dean Edwards in the 27th minute. After 34 played minutes Ashton-in-Makerfield FC got a freekick which was hit by Christopher Cheetham. Simeon Chalk made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Dean Edwards sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathon Trueman during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ashton-in-Makerfield FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jonathon Trueman hit a great ball. David Reid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simeon Chalk having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Reid to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Reid in the 51st minute of play forced Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's goalkeeper Simeon Chalk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 52 minutes into the game, Austen Johnston was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wolverhampton the free kick. 56 minutes into the match, Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Edwards came free, but Simeon Chalk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Austen Johnston was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. A collision led to Ashton-in-Makerfield FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Austen Johnston hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Wolverhampton's Ozzy Graves got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 68 played minutes, Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's Kenny Grigg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nial Myers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ashton-in-Makerfield FC reached it. David Reid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simeon Chalk having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Kenny Grigg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ashton-in-Makerfield FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wolverhampton the free kick. A collision led to Ashton-in-Makerfield FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Kenny Grigg hit a great ball. Dean Edwards struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Simeon Chalk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wolverhampton. In the 84th minute, Dean Edwards ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simeon Chalk was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Simeon Chalk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dean Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 95th minute, Dean Edwards got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
