Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Michael Huxtable started the match with the kick off. Rio Whalley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reg Hopton in the 3rd minute. Rio Whalley made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Reg Hopton sent off a good shot on target. Bob Love struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Conan Titmus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Settle. Rio Whalley was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Reg Hopton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reg Hopton really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Settle's Bob Love in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bridlington FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Settle getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Edward Eastwood hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dion Baum in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rio Whalley saved Settle from getting behind. Sammy Workman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Conan Titmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Bob Love hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sonny Southgate fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Settle's protests and gave Sonny Southgate a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Settle got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Southgate. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Bond got free with Rio Whalley in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Adam Bond took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Rio Whalley to make any attempt to save it. Ian Dines hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, William Martindale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Settle's supporters rose to their feet, but William Martindale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conan Titmus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bob Love was the one to do the kick off. Bridlington FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Bob Love scored to the left of an out of position Conan Titmus, making the score, 2-1. Conan Titmus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bob Love in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute Bob Love shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conan Titmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bob Love received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Conan Titmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Settle's William Martindale got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Bob Love had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Bond hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Settle's Ian Dines got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Settle's Bob Love got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Settle booed when Bridlington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reg Hopton didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sammy Workman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Bridlington FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Settle for much of the match.
