Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when David Harris kicked off to start the match. David Harris sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 6 minutes, Marek Halliwell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fletching's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Halliwell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dale Wilkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Moretonhampstead's goalkeeper Verne Scargill, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tyler Sheene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicky Browne in the 23rd minute of the match. Dale Wilkins hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Noel Schofield hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. 36 minutes into the game, Dale Wilkins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Tyler Sheene was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicky Browne in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tyler Sheene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicky Browne to make the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game David Harris who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Moretonhampstead's Verne Scargill was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Roger Gough recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Shane Dibb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reg Willets kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Christian Buckley, 61 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Verne Scargill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Harris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alexander Saxton fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moretonhampstead's protests and gave Alexander Saxton a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Moretonhampstead was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Saxton to maneuver through the defense. Christian Buckley hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, David Harris managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fletching's supporters rose to their feet, but David Harris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Verne Scargill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marek Halliwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Dale Wilkins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moretonhampstead's supporters rose to their feet, but Dale Wilkins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyler Sheene breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Moretonhampstead's Shaun Rathmell got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute Reg Willets managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The supporters of Fletching booed when Moretonhampstead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Dibb didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes, Seth Duff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Moretonhampstead and the Fletching players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes Moretonhampstead got a freekick which was hit by Seth Duff. Dale Wilkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tyler Sheene tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dale Wilkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. There was no doubt that Moretonhampstead were the better team. Moretonhampstead's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
