Devon Titmus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doug Butcher's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Tristram Harrad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Pitt having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Vance Heath was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shaftesbury's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Donnington United the free kick. The supporters of Donnington United booed when Shaftesbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vance Heath didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Liam Sears in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Devon Titmus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Gav Spink got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Liam Sears received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Devon Titmus came out and tried to block the shot, but Liam Sears slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Devon Titmus had great luck who in the 32ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Doug Butcher from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. A hard shot 33 in the game by Gav Spink from a close distance when the talented Devon Titmus managed to make a qualified save. Shaftesbury's players were relieved. 35 minutes into the match, Drew Hitchcock notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Donnington United's Karl Pitt. Karl Pitt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Doug Butcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devon Titmus having to interfere. Liam Sears recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute, Donnington United's Liam Sears dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Tristram Harrad kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. If Liam Sears had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Devon Titmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Shaftesbury's goal looked a bit too open when Gav Spink came free, but Devon Titmus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Callum Markinson charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Callum Markinson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, Callum Markinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Devon Titmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Sears in the 61st minute of the match. Donnington United's Liam Sears got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Shaftesbury's Devon Titmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Butcher in the 70th minute of play. In the 71st minute Jez Delaney shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Devon Titmus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doug Butcher in the 75th minute of play forced Shaftesbury's goalkeeper Devon Titmus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Callum Markinson hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Doug Butcher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devon Titmus having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Shaftesbury's goal looked a bit too open when Doug Butcher came free, but Devon Titmus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gav Spink recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gav Spink took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Devon Titmus. Devon Titmus dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 88th minute, Vance Heath hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes, Doug Butcher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donnington United and the Shaftesbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. Doug Butcher hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Devon Titmus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Liam Sears in the 96th minute of the match.
