Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rio McCormick got the match started through his kick off. Verne Broadbent blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neil Beaumont having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Pocklington FC's Hayden Dudgeon got a free kick in the 5th minute. Verne Broadbent might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Neil Beaumont. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Verne Broadbent ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricky Button struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Neil Beaumont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Streatham Starlights. Verne Broadbent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neil Beaumont was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Verne Broadbent capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Verne Broadbent really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Verne Broadbent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricky Button struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Neil Beaumont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Streatham Starlights. Miles Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Nelson in the 32nd minute of play. Nathan Hampton took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miles Fowler. Miles Fowler dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 36th match minute, Pocklington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayden Dudgeon to maneuver through the defense. Neil Beaumont made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ricky Button sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Neil Beaumont successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ricky Button fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Beaumont having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricky Button stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Streatham Starlights's goal looked a bit too open when Rio McCormick came free, but Miles Fowler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neil Beaumont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verne Broadbent, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Streatham Starlights's Verne Broadbent got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricky Button received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Neil Beaumont tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Verne Broadbent managed to get in a good position for a shot. Streatham Starlights's supporters rose to their feet, but Verne Broadbent was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neil Beaumont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Streatham Starlights's goal looked a bit too open when Rio McCormick came free, but Miles Fowler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Verne Broadbent put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Neil Beaumont. If Ricky Button had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Beaumont showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricky Button in the 90th minute of the match. After 94 minutes, Marty Duffy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Streatham Starlights and the Pocklington FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Streatham Starlights players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
