Lloyd Laverick ran back to his position shaking his head. Liam Holdroyd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jim McCartney in the 7th minute. Rio Horn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfred Brewer in the 15th minute of play. Martyn Argent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Liam Holdroyd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Petts Wood got a freekick which was hit by Thom Ingram. Rio Horn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Brewer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Petts Wood booed when Dream Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Airton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Tom Holt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Dream Team's Liam Holdroyd didn't even have to move. Alfred Brewer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rio Horn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Alfred Brewer put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rio Horn. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfred Brewer to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Petts Wood's Rio Horn got control of the ball when Lloyd Laverick tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th play minute Lloyd Laverick came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rio Horn. 0-2. 72 minutes into the match, Petts Wood's goal looked a bit too open when Alfred Brewer came free, but Rio Horn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alfred Brewer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfred Brewer in the 75th minute of play forced Petts Wood's goalkeeper Rio Horn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Lloyd Laverick made a precise shot to the right of Rio Horn. Petts Wood's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 83 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Petts Wood! When the match had been going on for 84 minutes, Dream Team's Edward Airton got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rio Horn. Petts Wood's Rio Horn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Petts Wood from getting a goal against them. Liam Holdroyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim McCartney, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. If Alfred Brewer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dream Team's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
