Liam Elwick started the match with the kick off. Harry Rowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Brewer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lloyd Laverick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Rowe having to interfere. The supporters of Dream Team booed when The Rifles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rod Flemming didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lloyd Laverick in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Rowe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 25 minutes into the match, The Rifles's goal looked a bit too open when Lloyd Laverick came free, but Harry Rowe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27thth minute of the game Alfred Brewer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Rifles's Harry Rowe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harry Rowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lloyd Laverick in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Lloyd Laverick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dream Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lloyd Laverick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Dale Titmuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Rifles's Harry Rowe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Brewer in the 45th minute of play. Alfred Brewer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Rowe having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfred Brewer to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Alfred Brewer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Rifles's Harry Rowe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lloyd Laverick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to The Rifles getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Connor Ronson hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute of the match Edward Airton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Harry Rowe skillfully saved the ball. In the 63rd minute, Lloyd Laverick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harry Rowe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Alfie Halloran's late challenge caught a Dream Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfie Halloran helped the player get up and apologised. 68 minutes into the game, one of The Rifles:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 69 minutes, Dream Team's Edward Airton got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Harry Rowe. 73 minutes into the match, The Rifles's goalkeeper Harry Rowe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lloyd Laverick. When Robert Dolby came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Dream Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Dolby couldn't finish the play. Dream Team's Lloyd Laverick got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lloyd Laverick got free with Harry Rowe in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Simon Kempson managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Rifles's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Kempson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Liam Holdroyd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Simon Kempson came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the The Rifles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Kempson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of The Rifles booed when Dream Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Morning didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92ndth minute of the game Liam Elwick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dream Team's Liam Holdroyd was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liam Holdroyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Kempson, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The audience was convinced that Alfred Brewer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Rowe was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Dream Team's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
