The referee ignored Tynemouth Wanderers's protests and gave John-Paul Amos a yellow card for diving instead. The audience was convinced that Theagenis Ksagorarakis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brown Jackson was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Theagenis Ksagorarakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A wasted opportunity for Horfield. 25 minutes into the match, Tynemouth Wanderers's goal looked a bit too open when George Șerbulescu came free, but Brown Jackson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Șerbulescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the game, Horfield's Theagenis Ksagorarakis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brown Jackson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Theagenis Ksagorarakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nick Farrow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Brown Jackson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grant Clare blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brown Jackson having to make a save. Brown Jackson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Maxell in the 40th minute of play. John-Paul Snowden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Halliday in the 52nd minute of the match. Ronny Maxell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brown Jackson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theagenis Ksagorarakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Theagenis Ksagorarakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Brown Jackson made a huge save. Tynemouth Wanderers's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Theagenis Ksagorarakis scored to the left of an out of position Brown Jackson, making the score, 1-2. The supporters of Tynemouth Wanderers booed when Horfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theagenis Ksagorarakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Șerbulescu was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 91 minutes of play Horfield's Kyle Kerr was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 93rd minute, Ken Halliday sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Horfield's John-Paul Snowden didn't even have to move. Wes Welch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John-Paul Snowden having to interfere. John-Paul Snowden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ken Halliday, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the match was over Horfield could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tynemouth Wanderers throughout the match.
