After 11 minutes, Perry Barton made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bognor Regis's Edward Cheetham tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 13 played minutes Bognor Regis got a freekick which was hit by Darren Tompkins. Chesney Harrison tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Edward Cheetham. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-2 in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Perry Barton in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edward Cheetham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Cheetham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlton Boothroyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Darren Tompkins was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. After 25 played minutes Bognor Regis got a freekick which was hit by Darren Tompkins. Edward Cheetham didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perry Barton went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Perry Barton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edward Cheetham. Bognor Regis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perry Barton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Edward Cheetham showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perry Barton in the 36th minute of the match. Perry Barton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Edward Cheetham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bognor Regis's zone, Carlton Boothroyd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edward Cheetham came out of the goal and Carlton Boothroyd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jude Bonham in the 46th minute of play forced Crystal Phallus's goalkeeper Donny Rowell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jude Bonham might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donny Rowell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jude Bonham ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
The wind increased when Jude Bonham made the kick off in the second half. When Carlton Boothroyd came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Crystal Phallus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlton Boothroyd couldn't finish the play. In the 55th match minute, Bognor Regis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Rathmell to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Crystal Phallus's Carlton Boothroyd dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. Denis Rathmell might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donny Rowell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Rathmell ran back to his position shaking his head. Donny Rowell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Bonham in the 65th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Perry Barton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edward Cheetham. That made the score 0-6 in the 72 minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Crystal Phallus's Martyn Kemp sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edward Cheetham narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Bognor Regis's goalkeeper Edward Cheetham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlton Boothroyd. In the 81st minute, Perry Barton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Bognor Regis's Edward Cheetham got control of the ball when Perry Barton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jude Bonham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Rowell having to interfere. If Carlton Boothroyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugh Eldridge kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. A collision led to Bognor Regis getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pierre Welsh hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Perry Barton took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Edward Cheetham to make any attempt to save it.
