An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane Townsley in the 5th minute of play forced Broken bottles FC's goalkeeper Dean Simms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th minute, Ivan Washington ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glyn Rockett was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jack Routledge kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Ralph Griffin struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Dean Simms didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester Devils. After 18th play minutes Shane Townsley shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Dean Simms and just under the crossbar into goal. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Glyn Rockett successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dean Simms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralph Griffin in the 25th minute of the match. Glyn Rockett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Sansom in the 27th minute of play. Glyn Rockett made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Sun Chuan Wen sent off a good shot on target. Glyn Rockett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archie Sansom in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Broken bottles FC's Duncan Woodyat got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Washington got free with Glyn Rockett in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Washington in the 51st minute of play forced Manchester Devils's goalkeeper Glyn Rockett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 52 played minutes Manchester Devils got a freekick which was hit by Shane Townsley. Dean Simms showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralph Griffin in the 54th minute of the match. When Shane Townsley came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Manchester Devils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shane Townsley couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute Sun Chuan Wen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glyn Rockett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Broken bottles FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrew Llewellyn in the 60th minute. Broken bottles FC's Andrew Llewellyn was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Glyn Rockett in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shane Townsley got free with Dean Simms in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shane Townsley in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dean Simms, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Archie Sansom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Glyn Rockett having to interfere. Broken bottles FC made a substitution. Eddy Moody replaced Archie Sansom. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sun Chuan Wen during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Broken bottles FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Sun Chuan Wen hit a great ball. Manchester Devils's Glyn Rockett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sun Chuan Wen in the 81st minute of play. If Shane Townsley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Broken bottles FC booed when Manchester Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deon Ellerton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glyn Rockett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddy Moody, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Jack Routledge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glyn Rockett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Broken bottles FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Manchester Devils for a fine match.
