Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Heitor Quilempan took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fábio Fontão during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Welford getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Fábio Fontão hit a great ball. Hélio Moco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Afonso Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sutton in Ashfield's Emílio Lando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Fontão in the 12th minute of play. When Camilo Jacinto fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sutton in Ashfield's protests and gave Camilo Jacinto a yellow card for diving instead. Fábio Fontão struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Emílio Lando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Welford. Heitor Quilempan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Flavio Amado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Fontão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Lando having to interfere. Felíx Lima Clemente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Emílio Lando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Heitor Quilempan came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Sutton in Ashfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Quilempan couldn't finish the play. Heitor Quilempan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Flavio Amado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Welford's Fábio Fontão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emílio Lando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Fábio Fontão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Welford fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Fontão made a kick off. Heitor Quilempan hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Felíx Lima Clemente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Lando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Heitor Quilempan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélio Moco might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Flavio Amado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélio Moco ran back to his position shaking his head. Flavio Amado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Moco, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Flavio Amado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Quilempan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Welford fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Alda Ermida walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Heitor Quilempan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emílio Lando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio Fontão in the 86th minute of play. Felíx Lima Clemente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Emílio Lando made a huge save. Flavio Amado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Quilempan in the 99th minute of the match. 100 minutes into the match, Welford's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Quilempan came free, but Flavio Amado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Welford succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Sutton in Ashfield had controlled the match.
