Rolando Fernandes Braga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmundo De Matos having to make a save. Edmundo De Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Fernandes Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolando Fernandes Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo De Matos having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rolando Fernandes Braga in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo De Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Delmano Russo's late challenge caught a Scawsby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Delmano Russo helped the player get up and apologised. 13 minutes into the match, Tiago Matta notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Whittlesey FC's Hector Dikaté. Hector Dikaté was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edmundo De Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whittlesey FC. Edmundo De Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolando Fernandes Braga's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. The referee showed Tozé Dikaté the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, Tozé Dikaté hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmundo De Matos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Fernandes Braga went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Scawsby booed when Whittlesey FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pompílio Pegacho didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Whittlesey FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Ailton Sá hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Whittlesey FC's Luís Mendes got a free kick in the 61st minute. Whittlesey FC's Hector Dikaté played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Regalado in the 64th minute of play. Evaristo Dikaté received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hector Dikaté tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Flavio Canales recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edmundo De Matos. Flavio Canales showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Flavio Canales struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Edmundo De Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Whittlesey FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Fernandes Braga in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edmundo De Matos saved Scawsby from getting behind. Edmundo De Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Fernandes Braga in the 86th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Scawsby's Pedro Onas got a free kick in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Scawsby's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Canales came free, but Edmundo De Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Viveque Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Pompílio Pegacho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Dikaté received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Hector Dikaté tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Whittlesey FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
