If Heitor Quilempan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Lando during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Whittlesey FC's Carlos Lando got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute Hélio Moco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Dikaté saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Whittlesey FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Lourenço came free, but Hector Dikaté reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hector Dikaté showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Lourenço in the 25th minute of the match. Whittlesey FC's Hector Dikaté played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Quilempan in the 26th minute of play. Hector Dikaté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Quilempan in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Whittlesey FC's Carlos Lando got a free kick in the 35th minute. Heitor Quilempan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Dikaté having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Pedro Lourenço managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sutton in Ashfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Lourenço was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Dikaté breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Pedro Lourenço recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Lourenço sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rolando Fernandes Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Emílio Lando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Pedro Lourenço recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hector Dikaté. Pedro Lourenço showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. 76 minutes into the match, Sutton in Ashfield's Hélio Moco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hector Dikaté narrowly saved just below the crossbar. During the 77th minute of the match Carlos Lando completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Carlos Lando a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 77th minute, Carlos Lando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sutton in Ashfield's Emílio Lando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Fernandes Braga in the 81st minute of play. Sutton in Ashfield:s Emílio Lando showed great skill when he stopped Custódio Montinho:s penalty. Rolando Fernandes Braga charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolando Fernandes Braga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Whittlesey FC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Fernandes Braga. Rolando Fernandes Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Lando having to interfere. When the match was over Sutton in Ashfield could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Whittlesey FC throughout the match.
