To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo Pegacho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magno Simões having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Valies in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gregório Dikaté saved Prudhoe from getting behind. Emílio Valies scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregório Dikaté, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the match, Emílio Valies had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gregório Dikaté. Prudhoe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emílio Valies was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Duarte in the 32nd minute of play forced Prudhoe's goalkeeper Gregório Dikaté to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saúl Tremura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregório Dikaté having to make a save. 48 minutes into the match, Emílio Valies notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Prudhoe's Gregório Dikaté. Gregório Dikaté was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Pegacho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Prudhoe booed when Hurst Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Valies didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Hurst Green defense, Evaristo Pegacho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magno Simões. The Hurst Green fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magno Simões should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Prudhoe's zone, Saúl Tremura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregório Dikaté came out of the goal and Saúl Tremura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Prudhoe's Gregório Dikaté got control of the ball when Emílio Valies tried to sneak it across the goal line. Magno Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolando Bouça, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Evaristo Pegacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmundo Barreiros kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Emílio Valies's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Gregório Dikaté skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Emílio Valies could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Gregório Dikaté made a huge save. Saúl Tremura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Gregório Dikaté tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emílio Valies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hurst Green's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
