Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Custódio Matta took the kick off in the first half of the match. Felíx Mantorras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Edgar Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Custódio Matta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Eduardo Ganete fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Ayton's protests and gave Eduardo Ganete a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Great Ayton getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Custódio Matta in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edgar Jacinto saved Abbey Wood from getting behind. Edgar Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Almeida in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Pereira during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 20 minutes into the game, one of Abbey Wood:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Custódio Matta in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Dos Santos in the 27th minute of play forced Abbey Wood's goalkeeper Edgar Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Custódio Matta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Great Ayton's Custódio Matta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Jacinto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alão Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heitor Mantorras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Great Ayton's zone, Heitor Mantorras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alão Bastos came out of the goal and Heitor Mantorras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Custódio Matta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Jacinto having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Custódio Matta put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edgar Jacinto. Tiago Malafaia lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Abbey Wood! The referee gave Great Ayton a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eduardo Ganete, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Abbey Wood's Edgar Jacinto. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The wind increased when Felíx Valies made the kick off in the second half. Custódio Mattas short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Edgar Jacinto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 53rdth minute of the game Custódio Matta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abbey Wood's Edgar Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 54 played minutes Abbey Wood got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fonseca. The audience thought a goal was coming when Custódio Matta got free with Edgar Jacinto in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Great Ayton's Felíx Mantorras got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cláudio Odemira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alão Bastos having to interfere. Cláudio Odemira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alão Bastos having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Abbey Wood's Luís Fonseca got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 minutes, Custódio Matta made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Abbey Wood's Edgar Jacinto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute, Great Ayton's Henrique Dos Santos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgar Jacinto. Edgar Jacinto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Felíx Valies sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th match minute, Abbey Wood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Odemira to maneuver through the defense. Custódio Matta scored 0-6 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgar Jacinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Felíx Valies had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Abbey Wood's goal looked a bit too open when Custódio Matta came free, but Edgar Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Custódio Matta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Jacinto having to interfere.
