In the 8th minute Takalani Mbheki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucky Kanku saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucky Kanku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Takalani Mbheki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mpenza Webb kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, William Kerns managed to get in a good position for a shot. Afzondering's supporters rose to their feet, but William Kerns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucky Kanku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Takalani Mbheki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Boegoeberg's Lucky Kanku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Legako Etafia in the 25th minute of play. When Mathibela Macheke came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Boegoeberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathibela Macheke couldn't finish the play. William Kerns kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Gary Magagane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Afzondering's zone, Mathibela Macheke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Sibeko came out of the goal and Mathibela Macheke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Thabile Macheke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfred Sibeko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Legako Etafia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute of the match, Jason Bartlett tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfred Sibeko saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stanton Fortuin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alfred Sibeko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After having played for 53 minutes, Mpenza Webb managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boegoeberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mpenza Webb was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jason Bartlett came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Boegoeberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Bartlett couldn't finish the play. Afzondering's Alfred Sibeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathibela Macheke in the 56th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Boegoeberg's Mathibela Macheke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfred Sibeko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 72 played minutes Afzondering got a freekick which was hit by Gary Makweni. Mathibela Macheke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Sibeko having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Boegoeberg's Jason Bartlett got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 81 minutes, Thabile Macheke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Afzondering's Alfred Sibeko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathibela Macheke in the 92nd minute of play. Alfred Sibeko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathibela Macheke, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Afzondering succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Boegoeberg had controlled the match.
