Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Melele got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th match minute, Bengu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfred Fortuin to maneuver through the defense. FC Mamphokgo's Bernard Steyn couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Bengu. 10 minutes into the match, Bengu's Vuyani Madima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patrick Nhlapo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FC Mamphokgo getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Milton Madiba hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Vuyani Madima notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Mamphokgo's Patrick Nhlapo. Patrick Nhlapo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Themba Inguana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Nhlapo having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Vuyani Madima notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Mamphokgo's Patrick Nhlapo. Patrick Nhlapo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 played minutes Bengu got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Fortuin. Jeff Mhlathe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boyisana Mahlangu in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Mamphokgo's zone, Vuyani Madima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Nhlapo came out of the goal and Vuyani Madima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Melele received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Patrick Nhlapo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Nhlapo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Melele in the 45th minute of the match.
The wind increased when Boyisana Mahlangu made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Bengu's goal looked a bit too open when Milton Madiba came free, but Jeff Mhlathe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boyisana Mahlangu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bengu getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Themba Inguana hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Melele in the 61st minute of play forced FC Mamphokgo's goalkeeper Patrick Nhlapo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tomas Melele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, FC Mamphokgo's goalkeeper Patrick Nhlapo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vuyani Madima. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Mamphokgo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! In the 86th minute there was a penalty for Bengu. Gordon Mnisi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Patrick Nhlapo. 0-3. If Vuyani Madima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Nhlapo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Melele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismail Modipa in the 93rd minute of play forced Bengu's goalkeeper Jeff Mhlathe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeff Mhlathe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismail Modipa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Ismail Modipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bengu played a much better game than FC Mamphokgo and deserved their victory. The FC Mamphokgo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
