Walker Knights's Jomo Mathibe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rabelani Shoba in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Walker Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Madima came free, but Jomo Mathibe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Nicolas Koen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Walker Knights's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolas Koen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aubrey Thobejane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 23 minutes into the game, FC Lonalis's Rabelani Shoba nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jomo Mathibe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rabelani Shoba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jomo Mathibe having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Gordon Madima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jomo Mathibe. Walker Knights's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gordon Madima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Gordon Madima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gordon Madima made the kick off in the second half. Aubrey Thobejane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hlamane Modise, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Boyisani Modipa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Koen in the 63rd minute of play forced FC Lonalis's goalkeeper Aubrey Thobejane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Lonalis's Gordon Madima got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Jomo Mathibe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lazarus Roberts during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Lazarus Roberts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FC Lonalis's Darren Mabalane got a free kick in the 78th minute. Nicolas Koen scored 1-5 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aubrey Thobejane, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Walker Knights's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Lazarus Roberts scored to the left of an out of position Jomo Mathibe, making the score, 1-6. If Rabelani Shoba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nkosi Mkhonza during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nkosi Mkhonza kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Elias Mothobi, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rabelani Shoba came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jomo Mathibe could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Gordon Madima took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Jomo Mathibe to make any attempt to save it. FC Lonalis's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
