When Štefan Liguš fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Runina FK's protests and gave Štefan Liguš a yellow card for diving instead. Matúš Petrov walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 30th minute, Antón Karhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 35 played minutes Runina FK got a freekick which was hit by Tomáš Olejník. 39 minutes into the match, Runina FK's Pavol Gefert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marek Harazin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 41st match minute, Obyce FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Pecha to maneuver through the defense. Antón Karhan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Vidlička having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pavol Gefert was the one to do the kick off. Dušan Fedorík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Vidlička having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dušan Fedorík in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gabriel Vidlička saved Runina FK from getting behind. After 60 played minutes Runina FK got a freekick which was hit by Antón Želínsky. After a defensive mix-up in Runina FK's zone, Dušan Fedorík stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Vidlička came out of the goal and Dušan Fedorík tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marek Harazin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Štafura's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Antón Karhan had several of the Runina FK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 66 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Gabriel Vidlička as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 74thth minute of the game Pavol Gefert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Obyce FC's Marek Harazin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 75 played minutes Runina FK got a freekick which was hit by Pavol Gefert. The audience was convinced that Martin Štafura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marek Harazin was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. A hard shot 79 in the game by Antón Karhan from a close distance when the talented Gabriel Vidlička managed to make a qualified save. Runina FK's players were relieved. Gabriel Vidlička showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dušan Fedorík in the 81st minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Obyce FC's Antón Karhan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gabriel Vidlička narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
