The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dorjan Švab hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Kranj MNK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marijo Osetič to maneuver through the defense. Isen Žalac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Emanuel Pildek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rupert Žuža kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 18thth minute of the game Valter Kraljič who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kranj MNK's Sergio Smodiš was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Rupert Žuža hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Podvelka FC's Emanuel Pildek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isen Žalac in the 25th minute of play. Fahrudin Milanović charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fahrudin Milanović the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Podvelka FC's Fahrudin Milanović got a free kick in the 26th minute. Emiljan Maliqaj hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Kevin Vovčak charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevin Vovčak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kranj MNK's Sergio Smodiš played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Kraljič in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Kraljič in the 44th minute of play forced Kranj MNK's goalkeeper Sergio Smodiš to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 56th minute, Valter Kraljič left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Podvelka FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 63rd minute Isen Žalac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Pildek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Pildek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isen Žalac, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Isen Žalac received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Emanuel Pildek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Podvelka FC's Rupert Žuža got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Valter Kraljič had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kranj MNK's goalkeeper Sergio Smodiš, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Matjan Habbe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Podvelka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matjan Habbe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sergio Smodiš breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isen Žalac in the 77th minute of play forced Podvelka FC's goalkeeper Emanuel Pildek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ognjen Justin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Emanuel Pildek made a huge save. Podvelka FC's Matjan Habbe got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Vince Čulk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Valter Kraljič's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergio Smodiš was relentless in the 90th minute of the game.
