Miren-Kostanjevica NK's Vladimir Trškan got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Medvode FC's Kemal Repnik proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Medvode FC from getting a goal against them. Deniz Bavdek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kemal Repnik having to interfere. Kemal Repnik made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Vladimir Trškan sent off a good shot on target. Vladimir Trškan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bogo Ljubec to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jure Lagler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Medvode FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jure Lagler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boštjan Kranjec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Medvode FC's zone, Vladimir Trškan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kemal Repnik came out of the goal and Vladimir Trškan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kemal Repnik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deniz Bavdek in the 59th minute of play. Vladimir Trškan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Kemal Repnik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kemal Repnik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deniz Bavdek, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 72ndth minute of the game Bogo Ljubec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miren-Kostanjevica NK's Boštjan Kranjec was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deniz Bavdek in the 75th minute of play forced Medvode FC's goalkeeper Kemal Repnik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogo Ljubec was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Medvode FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 82 minutes, Deniz Bavdek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miren-Kostanjevica NK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Deniz Bavdek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rdth minute of the game Vladimir Trškan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Medvode FC's Kemal Repnik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Deniz Bavdek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
