In the 7th minute, Milovan Ban got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milovan Ban got free with Dorjano Musek in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Nace Bradač had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Milovan Ban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Å abić in the 38th minute of play forced Ribnica MNK's goalkeeper Ladislav Pavlović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ladislav Pavlović came out of the goal and Iris Derganc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Godovič's Nace Bradač got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nace Bradač to strike the kick off in the second half. Dorjano Musek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radislav Bremec, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 60thth minute of the game Mike Damjan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Godovič's Dorjano Musek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ribnica MNK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Theo Kuder in the 62nd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Godovič's goalie and right to Rasti Medvešek. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Godovič's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ribnica MNK's Radislav Bremec got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Radislav Bremec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toma Jereb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ladislav Pavlović tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
