Dennis Beškovnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Hodoš's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slovenska Bistrica the free kick. A collision led to Hodoš getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Peter Saksida hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Slovenska Bistrica's Mavro Primar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dimitris Papadopulos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 12 played minutes Slovenska Bistrica got a freekick which was hit by Mavro Primar. If Roy Keane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dimitris Papadopulos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mavro Primar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Slovenska Bistrica getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Aldin Prelog hit a great ball. Aita Zaplana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Beškovnik in the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Mavro Primar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slovenska Bistrica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mavro Primar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 minutes of play, Slovenska Bistrica's Aldin Prelog made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dimitris Papadopulos was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mavro Primar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Will Gates made a kick off. When Mavro Primar came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Slovenska Bistrica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mavro Primar couldn't finish the play. Dimitris Papadopulos made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Roy Keane sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the game, Milovan Šolman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slovenska Bistrica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hodoš the free kick. Milovan Šolman kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Aldin Prelog hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Hodoš getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Mijodrag Horjak hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roy Keane in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimitris Papadopulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carter Moscatelli hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Mavro Primar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Roy Keane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, Hodoš's goalkeeper Dimitris Papadopulos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roy Keane. Slovenska Bistrica were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
