When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Istok Šabotić took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Simbad Vogel to make any attempt to save it. Duško Turnšek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Simbad Vogel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 10th minute, Ernest Jazbec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simbad Vogel made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Duško Turnšek sent off a good shot on target. Goražd Djordjević fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simbad Vogel having to interfere. Duško Turnšek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Simbad Vogel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Istok Šabotić could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Simbad Vogel made a huge save. ND MURA 05's Felix Preložnik got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 24th match minute, ND MURA 05 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristifor Klampfer to maneuver through the defense. Richard Koštomaj's late challenge caught a ND MURA 05's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Koštomaj helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ND MURA 05 getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Felix Preložnik hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ND MURA 05's Romi Šneberger got a free kick in the 29th minute. 33 minutes into the match, ND MURA 05's goal looked a bit too open when Goražd Djordjević came free, but Simbad Vogel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristifor Klampfer charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kristifor Klampfer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of HIT Gorica booed when ND MURA 05 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristifor Klampfer didn't get a good kick on the ball. When HIT Gorica's Duško Turnšek in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duško Turnšek in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simbad Vogel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute Husejin Kusić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lan Šorli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Husejin Kusić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ND MURA 05 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. HIT Gorica's Duško Turnšek got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Preložnik got free with Lan Šorli in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Istok Šabotić in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simbad Vogel saved ND MURA 05 from getting behind. Husejin Kusić struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Lan Šorli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ND MURA 05. When Jernej Petrovič fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HIT Gorica's protests and gave Jernej Petrovič a yellow card for diving instead. Jernej Petrovič hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. During the 82nd minute of the match Kristifor Klampfer completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Kristifor Klampfer a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to ND MURA 05 getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Kristifor Klampfer hit a great ball. Felix Preložnik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. The audience was convinced that Istok Šabotić's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simbad Vogel was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. There was no doubt that HIT Gorica were the better team. HIT Gorica's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
