If Eric Sjöö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sonny Kämpe hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Markus Runberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Björnberg having to interfere. Karl-Erik Forsman made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Eric Sjöö sent off a good shot on target. After 25 minutes, Osvald Hybbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Girl Football Club and the The Blues players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dag Willig took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Evert Björnberg. The Blues's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 28th minute, Pål Rosin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Markus Runberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evert Björnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Söderström in the 36th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Girl Football Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eric Sjöö fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Eric Sjöö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Girl Football Club's Andreas Molin got a free kick in the 47th minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Ian Pihlgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Blues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Pihlgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ian Pihlgren made a kick off. Tomas Gunnarsson's late challenge caught a Girl Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Gunnarsson helped the player get up and apologised. 59 minutes into the game, one of The Blues:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a long run with the ball, Marcus Botvidsson did a trick in the 60th minute in front of The Blues's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-3. An impressive performance by Girl Football Club's Marcus Botvidsson! Wiktor Söderström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evert Björnberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in The Blues's zone, Wiktor Söderström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Björnberg came out of the goal and Wiktor Söderström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wiktor Söderström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Björnberg having to interfere. A collision led to The Blues getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Pål Rosin hit a great ball. Arvin Wennerquist kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Eric Sjöö fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Forsman having to interfere. After 91 minutes of play, The Blues's Ian Pihlgren made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Erik Forsman was left in no man's land by his defense there! 99 minutes into the match, The Blues's goal looked a bit too open when Wiktor Söderström came free, but Evert Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Girl Football Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
