Ronny Tunander charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience was convinced that Thor Offendahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig-Ove Walroth was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thor Offendahl in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stig-Ove Walroth saved Fisksätra Juniorer from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thor Offendahl in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stig-Ove Walroth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Birger Ambjörnsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Knut Helander in the 46th minute of play forced Fisksätra Juniorer's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Dundee United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gunnar Hydén made a kick off. Gunnar Hydén scored 1-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Törnblom, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Dundee United's zone, Gunnar Hydén stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Törnblom came out of the goal and Gunnar Hydén tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fisksätra Juniorer's Stig-Ove Walroth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Fisksätra Juniorer from getting a goal against them. Stig-Ove Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Knut Helander in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Thor Offendahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig-Ove Walroth was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Fisksätra Juniorer's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edward Tomasson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 65th minute, Knut Helander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Edmund Vennerlund came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Dundee United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmund Vennerlund couldn't finish the play. After 67 played minutes Fisksätra Juniorer got a freekick which was hit by Peder Beneth. After 68 played minutes Dundee United got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Vennerlund. In the 72nd minute Knut Helander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Ove Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Fisksätra Juniorer's goalkeeper Stig-Ove Walroth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bülent Irmak. 75 minutes into the game, Gunnar Hydén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. David Törnblom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 80 minutes into the match, Dundee United's goal looked a bit too open when Gunnar Hydén came free, but David Törnblom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andréas Bergström kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Patrik Östensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fisksätra Juniorer's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
