Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fritz Bäck took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Fritz Bäck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arild's supporters rose to their feet, but Fritz Bäck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nils-Åke Flinck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10thth minute of the game Fritz Bäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sala's Nils-Åke Flinck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kent Mattsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils-Åke Flinck having to make a save. In the 16th minute, Fritz Bäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Arild's Fritz Bäck in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sala's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Vall got free with Valdemar Nyqvist in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Krister Isaksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar Nyqvist having to interfere. Per-Olof Askberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nils-Åke Flinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fritz Bäck in the 33rd minute of the match. Nils-Åke Flinck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Olof Askberg in the 34th minute of play. Ted Strand's late challenge caught a Arild's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ted Strand helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sala's Ted Strand got a free kick in the 35th minute. Fritz Bäck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nils-Åke Flinck having to make a save. 40 minutes into the match, Sala's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Olof Askberg came free, but Nils-Åke Flinck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils-Åke Flinck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fritz Bäck in the 41st minute of the match. George Tinglöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Nils-Åke Flinck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nils-Åke Flinck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fritz Bäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Nils-Åke Flinck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fritz Bäck's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. If George Tinglöf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils-Åke Flinck made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Fritz Bäck sent off a good shot on target. Sala's Nils-Åke Flinck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Mattsson in the 62nd minute of play. Fritz Bäck in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nils-Åke Flinck, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sala's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Flinck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fritz Bäck's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Nils-Åke Flinck skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Krister Isaksson in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdemar Nyqvist saved Arild from getting behind. 77 minutes into the match, Albin Åkerman sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Nils-Åke Flinck threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Albin Åkerman this time. Herman Tholsson's shot from long distance in the 78th minute was not bad at all, but Sala's Nils-Åke Flinck knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After having played for 82 minutes, Fritz Bäck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arild's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fritz Bäck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nils-Åke Flinck made an important save on a dangerous shot by George Tinglöf in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Per-Olof Askberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nils-Åke Flinck. The goal made the score 0-1.
