The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Agne Wallin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Karl Smedfeldt made a huge save. Edgar Almkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesper Låsberg in the 10th minute of play. Jesper Låsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Edgar Almkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leif Gabrielsson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, Tygelsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Gabrielsson to maneuver through the defense. Bo Karlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Edgar Almkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudolf Bållström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Smedfeldt having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Rudolf Bållström put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Karl Smedfeldt. A collision led to Grunden Boys getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Mateus de Carvalho hit a great ball. Alfredo Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Karl Smedfeldt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rudolf Bållström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Grunden Boys getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Agne Wallin hit a great ball. Bo Karlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bo Karlberg to make the kick off. In the 61st minute, Benjamin Pettersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl Smedfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudolf Bållström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Täman in the 71st minute of play forced Grunden Boys's goalkeeper Edgar Almkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the game, Grunden Boys's Rudolf Bållström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Smedfeldt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Alfredo Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Smedfeldt having to interfere. Karl Smedfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agne Wallin in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Grunden Boys were awarded a corner. Agne Wallin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Agne Wallin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tygelsjö's Karl Smedfeldt did a great save. Grunden Boys's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
