André Alén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Tom Eriksson made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Alén got free with Tom Eriksson in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Göransson came free, but Tom Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarbelio Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Nässén, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Allan Nässén's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sarbelio Alvarez was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Tom Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 42 minutes of play, IFK Göteborg's Allan Nässén made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sarbelio Alvarez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sarbelio Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Nässén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC Hjälbo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IFK Göteborg were winning 1-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Nässén to make the kick off. David Hellqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Tom Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
