Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) FC Hjälbo's André Alén started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute of the match Henrik Ahlfors shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sarbelio Alvarez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. André Alén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Tom Eriksson made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Alén got free with Tom Eriksson in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 12 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Göransson came free, but Tom Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarbelio Alvarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Nässén, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Allan Nässén's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sarbelio Alvarez was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 25th match minute, IFK Göteborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Morat to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Allan Nässén had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sarbelio Alvarez. FC Hjälbo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Allan Nässén was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 32 minutes into the match, FC Hjälbo's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Nässén came free, but Sarbelio Alvarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in IFK Göteborg's zone, Tomas Göransson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Eriksson came out of the goal and Tomas Göransson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Allan Nässén took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sarbelio Alvarez. Sarbelio Alvarez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tom Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 42 minutes of play, IFK Göteborg's Allan Nässén made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sarbelio Alvarez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sarbelio Alvarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan Nässén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The FC Hjälbo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IFK Göteborg were winning 1-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Nässén to make the kick off. David Hellqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Tom Eriksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Alén in the 55th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Tom Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute André Alén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tom Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Hellqvist in the 61st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Allan Nässén during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, IFK Göteborg's Allan Nässén got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Allan Nässén made a precise shot to the right of Sarbelio Alvarez. FC Hjälbo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. In the 75th minute, Roger Morat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tom Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Alén in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Alén in the 79th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Tom Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, FC Hjälbo's Sarbelio Alvarez got control of the ball when Allan Nässén tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match IFK Göteborg got a corner. FC Hjälbo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henrik Ahlfors ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on IFK Göteborg's corner Esteban Hood fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sarbelio Alvarez quite easily take care of the ball. Tom Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Alén, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Tom Eriksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Alén in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 minutes, Zuri Llinares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hjälbo and the IFK Göteborg players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Hjälbo getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Zuri Llinares hit a great ball. When IFK Göteborg's Allan Nässén in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Hjälbo's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. IFK Göteborg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
