The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Jens-Ove Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ragnar Vallmark came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Sparsör fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ragnar Vallmark couldn't finish the play. Niklas Lingren came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dany Goorts could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in BK Väst kusten's zone, Thor Täman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carl Engström came out of the goal and Thor Täman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, BK Väst kusten's Per-Erik Örtendahl got a free kick in the 24th minute. BK Väst kusten's Carl Engström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Vallmark in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Ragnar Vallmark managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sparsör's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ragnar Vallmark was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thor Täman hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingos Beila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of BK Väst kusten booed when Sparsör was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costel Tomescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ragnar Vallmark hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Jörgen Collin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dany Goorts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niklas Lingren in the 66th minute of the match. In the 74th minute Niklas Lingren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dany Goorts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dany Goorts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Algot Borre in the 82nd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Stefan Göransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
