Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Michael Gerdberg made the kick off which started today's match. Göran Kinnman hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Malungsfors's Michael Gerdberg got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th match minute, BK DERBY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Kvarnström to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Malungsfors's Michael Gerdberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kevin Vacker. That made the score 1-1 after 17 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, BK DERBY's Göran Kinnman got a free kick in the 20th minute. After 22 played minutes Michael Gerdberg rounded BK DERBY's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Malungsfors's zone, Per-Erik Edström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Hedin came out of the goal and Per-Erik Edström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Michael Gerdberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malungsfors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Gerdberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 minutes, Ralf Adelsköld made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Malungsfors's John Hedin tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ralf Adelsköld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Malungsfors's Rune Rudqvist got a free kick in the 41st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per-Erik Edström in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Hedin saved Malungsfors from getting behind. In the 48th minute, Per-Erik Edström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ralf Adelsköld to strike the kick off in the second half. When Michael Gerdberg came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Malungsfors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michael Gerdberg couldn't finish the play. Rune Rudqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Erik Edström took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Hedin. John Hedin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. John Hedin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Erik Edström in the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Per-Erik Edström put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of John Hedin. A collision led to Malungsfors getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Kim Ekgren hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Malungsfors's zone, Per-Erik Edström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Hedin came out of the goal and Per-Erik Edström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ralf Adelsköld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Hedin having to interfere. Ralf Adelsköld's late challenge caught a Malungsfors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ralf Adelsköld helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Malungsfors booed when BK DERBY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Kinnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the game, Malungsfors's Michael Gerdberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevin Vacker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. BK DERBY's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
