Rune Strömbom's late challenge caught a Bredängs BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When Edvard Wickander came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Knutan FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edvard Wickander couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Bredängs BK booed when Knutan FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicklas Lundgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Edvard Wickander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knutan FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edvard Wickander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Knutan FF were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edvard Wickander to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Lind in the 72nd minute of play forced Knutan FF's goalkeeper Nicklas Blomkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rune Strömbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Strömberg having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Otto Hellström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bredängs BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Jan Strömberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rune Strömbom in the 82nd minute of play. Jan Strömberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rune Strömbom showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 84 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvard Wickander got free with Jan Strömberg in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
