In the 13th minute Isak Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Helström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Olof Ekegren made in the 15th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fc Kristianstad's Eric Termander. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urban Alin got free with Mathias Helström in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charlie Klemensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ian Spets kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. HBG ÖSTRA IF's Charlie Klemensson managed to work through Fc Kristianstad's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Charlie Klemensson dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 25th minute, Staffan Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charlie Klemensson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vidar Harlén prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, HBG ÖSTRA IF's Wilhelm Abelsson got a free kick in the 36th minute. Fc Kristianstad's Allan Siöman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 37th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for HBG ÖSTRA IF. Mathias Helström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isak Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mathias Helström made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Urban Alin sent off a good shot on target. Vidar Harlén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Klemensson in the 44th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Fc Kristianstad succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though HBG ÖSTRA IF had controlled the match.
