When Fredrik Carlsson came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Edguy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Carlsson couldn't finish the play. Einar Lundgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Allan Bergdal having to interfere. Einar Lundgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Allan Bergdal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. When Joacim Nyman came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Holmsjö IFK fans jumped to their feet. A wasted opportunity for Holmsjö IFK. After some fancy dribbling in the 49th minute, Fredrik Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edguy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fredrik Carlsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Bergdal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Örjan Åström to strike the kick off in the second half. The Edguy FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Edguy FC's Örjan Åström looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Freddie Klint took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joacim Nyman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Einar Lundgren took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Allan Bergdal. Allan Bergdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Edguy FC had won after a very even match.
