Hugo Siggesson scored 2-0 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustav Månsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wictor Sigfridsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gustav Månsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wictor Sigfridsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustav Månsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wictor Sigfridsson's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Wictor Sigfridsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gustav Månsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gnesta's Presiyan Stanyov got a free kick in the 34th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Gnesta's zone, Wictor Sigfridsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustav Månsson came out of the goal and Wictor Sigfridsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Presiyan Stanyov made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wictor Sigfridsson in the 54th minute of play forced Gnesta's goalkeeper Gustav Månsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Hugo Siggesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustav Månsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustav Månsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wictor Sigfridsson went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wictor Sigfridsson in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustav Månsson saved Gnesta from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Presiyan Stanyov during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Hugo Siggesson came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Jönköping RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Siggesson couldn't finish the play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Jönköping RK fully deserved thier win.
