The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Markus Pålsson kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Dalby's Bengt-Arne Biörling got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Dalby booed when Högsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Tunberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 12 in the game by Hans Byström from a close distance when the talented Marcus Skog managed to make a qualified save. Högsjö's players were relieved. 13 minutes into the match, Dalby's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Östlund came free, but Allan Tunander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Tunander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Åke Östlund in the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Bengt-Åke Östlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Tunander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Högsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvar Siöberg to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Östlund in the 23rd minute of play forced Dalby's goalkeeper Allan Tunander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bengt-Arne Biörling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Högsjö got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Tunberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Hans Byström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalby's supporters rose to their feet, but Hans Byström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Skog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Bengt-Arne Biörling got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Dalby's Bengt-Arne Biörling in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Högsjö's goalie prevented a goal. When Hans Byström came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Dalby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Byström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Arne Biörling in the 43rd minute of play forced Högsjö's goalkeeper Marcus Skog to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Högsjö's Marcus Skog proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Högsjö from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 51st minute, Bengt-Arne Biörling ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Skog was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Dalby booed when Högsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Tunberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Bengt-Arne Biörling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dalby's supporters rose to their feet, but Bengt-Arne Biörling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Skog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hans Byström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Skog having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Högsjö's Karl-Magnus Bern got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jörgen Kellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Hans Byström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Skog saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalby's Hans Byström got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Vedholm's late challenge caught a Dalby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Vedholm helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dalby booed when Högsjö was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Vedholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 minutes, Bengt-Arne Biörling made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Högsjö's Marcus Skog tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
