The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The Överlida IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikael Skark should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Erik Åström in the 30th minute of play forced Gårdsjö IK's goalkeeper John Bergfeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Törnqvist's late challenge caught a Överlida IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oskar Törnqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Oskar Törnqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Börje Åhlberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Mikael Skark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Bergfeldt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. John Bergfeldt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Erik Åström in the 60th minute of play. Överlida IFK's Mikael Skark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Åhlberg in the 67th minute of play. John Bergfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jörn Lindberg in the 68th minute of the match. John Bergfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kåre Näfver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Henrik Sandell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Bergfeldt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gårdsjö IK's Pål Hedbom got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Patrik Stenkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. The Överlida IFK fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Överlida IFK's Henrik Sandell looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Henrik Sandell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Bergfeldt was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Oskar Törnqvist took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Mikael Skark to make any attempt to save it. Malte Granberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Bergfeldt having to interfere. Gårdsjö IK's John Bergfeldt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Lindberg in the 94th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Överlida IFK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
